Perspective Psychology provides quality assessment and intervention for children, young people and adults to create positive, sustainable changes in people's lives.
The focus of Perspective Psychology is to assist people in reducing the impact of a problem, and importantly, to develop and incorporate the strategies and beliefs that enable you to live a more fulfilling life. This often involves exploring and highlighting values, skills and abilities and learning to see things from different perspectives.
Mental Health in Australia...
While living with issues that affect our mental health is often a private struggle that can be difficult to share with others, statistics show that mental health difficulties are very common in Australia. About 45% of us experience a mental health disorder at some stage in our lives, affecting millions of people and impacting on school, work, maintaining interests, independence and relationships (ABS National Health Survey, 2017-2018). |
Perspective Psychology...
Perspective Psychology was created by Principal Psychologist Rebecca Monk, to provide quality counselling and intervention for children, young people, families and adults across the lifespan. The practice is very dynamic, working with people who are responding to a range of dilemmas and concerns.
At Perspective Psychology, we work collaboratively to assist in resisting negative influences and explore contextual factors that have shaped a person's lived experience. We develop strategies for enacting lasting, positive changes that are mindful of your values and beliefs, and will help you in advocating for yourself. Rebecca also has a particular interest in working with people who have a disability, and carers.

I assist people to resist negative attitudes and develop the skills needed to be their own advocate in improving wellbeing. It is a privilege to see people take action, no matter how small, to live according to their values.
